Review:

Cerita Lion terbagi menjadi dua bagian, dan paruh pertama mengenai masa kecil Saroo, sebegitu menariknya hingga paruh akhirnya terasa sedikit datar. Kita melihat bagaimana Saroo dilahirkan dan besar di keluarga miskin. Ketika kakaknya, Guddu (Abishek Bharate) berencana kerja malam, Saroo bersikeras ikut serta. Saroo ketiduran, dan saat terbangun ia mendapati kakaknya sudah tak ada. Ia naik kereta, tak menyadari bahwa kereta tersebut membawanya jauh dari kampung halaman. Davis dengan baik memperlihatkan potret masyarakat kelas bawah dari dunia ketiga.
