Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (2015)

A newly moved family finds a box of old VHS sets in their house. The family consists of the married couple Ryan and Emily, their young daughter Leila, and Ryan's little brother. Ryan and his brother decide to watch the tapes, and soon see that they film Katie and Kristi being taught supernatural abilities by their grandmother. However, Katie notices the brother's presence, though the video was filmed 20 year before. In another box they find a camera that they soon discover allows them to see paranormal occurrences that the human eye can't detect. Soon Leila becomes the victim of supernatural attacks, and Ryan must find a way to save his daughter.

Review:

Berkisah suatu keluarga yang rumahnya dihantui, kali ini keluarga yang ketiban sial adalah keluarga Fleege: sang ayah Ryan (Chris J. Murray), ibu Emily (Brit Shaw) dan seorang anak perempuan berusia 7 tahun Leila (Ivy George). Mereka baru saja pindah ke rumah baru bersama dengan saudaranya Ryan, Mike (Dan Gill) serta seorang wanita seksi bernama Skylar (Olivia Taylor Dudley) yang entah siapa namun saya asumsikan merupakan temannya Emily.

Keanehan dimulai saat Ryan menemukan sebuah kamera jadul beserta beberapa videohome-made. Kamera ini mempunyai konstruksi yang berbeda dengan kamera konvensional, yang membuat Ryan (dan penonton, tentunya) bisa melihat peristiwa paranormal. Awalnya hanya dianggap sebagai error, namun lama kelamaan mereka menyadari bahwa wujud berbentuk cairan hitam yang bisa melayang terdengar aneh memang, saya agak kesulitan menggambarkannya dengan gamblang karena memang tak ditampilkan begitu jelas — ini adalah teror dari makhluk gaib.
