    Almost eleven years after the futile and disastrous expedition on the distant moon LV-223, the deep-space colonisation vessel Covenant equipped with more than 2,000 colonists in cryogenic hibernation, sets a course for the remote planet Origae-6 with the intention to build a new world. Instead, a rogue transmission will entice the crew to a nearby habitable small planet which resembles a lot like the Earth, nevertheless, sooner or later, the unsuspecting members of the Covenant will have to cope with invincible and unconquerable biological foes beyond human comprehension.

    Review:

    Alien : Covenant masih menawarkan hiburan khas Alien yang mencekam, penuh darah, dan cukup filosofis. Memang dibandingkan dengan film serupa yang rilis di awal tahun ini, Life, Alien : Covenant jelas terlihat lebih sederhana dalam menyajikan aneka pembunuhan sadisnya (bahkan satu adegannya ibarat mencomot dari film-film slasher remaja). Alurnya juga tak memberikan banyak pencerahan selain menutup enigma dari Prometheus. Tapi, Scott masih tak kehilangan sentuhannya dalam menyajikan macabre Xenomorph kesayangannya ini. Walaupun pada akhirnya, Alien : Covenant ini tak lebih sebuah penghubung narasi Prometheus dan sebuah sekuel yang bisa jadi bercerita lebih besar dan rumit serta menjembatani kisah-kisah pra-Alien saat ini dengan Alien rilisan tahun 1979.
