The Magnificent Seven (2016)

Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue, the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns. As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

Review:

Nyaris separuh bagian akhir film adalah tembak-tembakan yang bombastis tanpa henti. Dan wow, sungguh saya mengagumi keterampilan Fuqua dalam mengarahkan sekuens aksi yang impresif dan eksplosif (pun intended). Sorotan kameranya keren menyoroti lanskap yang indah. Ada adegan dimana karakter Chisolm menembak sembari memacu kudanya dengan kecepatan tinggi dimana ia hanya bergantung dengan satu kaki. Jagoan kita yang lain juga sangat jago. Musuh (yang jumlahnya saya asumsikan ratusan) berjatuhan seperti mainan.
