The BFG (2016)

Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie's presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and other giants. After traveling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Elizabeth to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all.

Secara teknis sudah tidak lagi diragukan bagaimana kualitas Spielberg mengolah The BFG, belum lagi iring-iringan scoring megah nan familiar dari komposer gaek langganan Spielberg, John Williams yang memberi sisi emosi tersendiri, tetapi juga jangan mengharapkan adegan seru seperti di Jurassic Park atau The Adventures of Tintin, The BFG lebih terlihat tenang dengan didominasi oleh banyak obrolan antara teman untuk mengenal karakternya lebih dalam, meskipun ia sebenarnya juga punya beberapa momen berkesan seperti salah satunya yang melibatkan jamuan makan pagi dan soda hijau ajaib di Buckingham Palace.
