Four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Cassie is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother.

Review:

Serangan dimulai dengan matinya seluruh peralatan elektronik akibat sinyal elektromagnetik yang dipancarkan oleh kapal alien. Gelombang kedua adalah bencana alam, sedangkan gelombang ketiga adalah wabah mematikan yang disebarkan burung. Ketiga gelombang ini dinarasikan oleh protagonis kita, Cassie (Chloe Grace Moretz) secara singkat melalui efek visual yang lumayan. Cassie harus bertahan hidup sendirian setelah terpisah dari ayah dan adiknya, Sam (Zachary Arthur) dikarenakan gelombang keempat alien menempel pada tubuh manusia sebagai parasit, namun tak terlihat secara kasat mata  telah terjadi.
